Registered Veterinary Surgeon Dr Sean Murphy, provides a comprehensive in-house orthopaedic surgery service at our veterinary centre in Skerries.
TTA (Tibial Tuberosity Advancement), TPLO (Tibial Plateau Levelling Operation) and CCWO (Cranial Closing Wedge Osteotomy) surgery techniques are routinely performed for the treatment of cruciate ligament rupture. Common conditions that are treated include cruciate ligament disease, patellar luxation, joint dislocations, fracture repairs, etc.
Since graduating from the Veterinary College at UCD, Sean has spent the last nine years working in small animal practice where he has continually developed his surgical skills and attends regular orthopaedic conferences and training, both in Ireland and abroad.
He is currently studying a certificate in advanced orthopaedics.
Sean has a Collie called Skip and a little terrier called Pebbles.
