Elaine qualified in Dundalk IT in 2011. During her training she spent time in an exotics hospital in Wicklow and continued to work there for 4 years. She then spent 8 years in a holistic practice in Dublin. She joined Shenick Balbriggan in July 2023 along with Sally the jack russell/dachshund cross who can be found helping with reception on a daily basis. She has a certificate in the nursing of exotic species and also a diploma in the nursing of zoological species. She also has a keen interest in physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Outside the practice she spends time with her two cats, african grey parrot and various lizards. Her dog Sally is a learning support dog and is part of the Burns By Your Side Ireland scheme. Sally goes to a local primary school to help children improve their reading skills, communication, vocabulary and building good interactions with dogs.
